Hive Side Training

The Hive-Side Training (HST) programme is a strategic initiative funded by the government under the Healthy Bees Plan 2030.

This project represents a vital partnership between the Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) and the Bee Farmers’ Association (BFA) to ensure the long-term sustainability and health of the UK’s honeybee population.

Our mission is to equip beekeepers with the practical skills and masterclass-level knowledge required to combat modern environmental threats, invasive pests—such as the Asian Hornet—and endemic diseases like Varroa, by delivering hands-on training directly at the hive.
